“[Evolution is] a theory that’s out there. It’s got some gaps in it. In Texas, we teach both creationism and evolution in our public schools. Because I figure you’re smart enough to figure out which one is right.”

--Texas Gov. Rick Perry, responding to a question from an eighth grader about evolution.

Richardson Endorses Obama, Clinton Gets Witches' Support

March 21, 2008 (Portland, OR) - New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson today endorsed Senator Barack Obama  for president. Richardson, who was himself a Democratic presidential candidate until withdrawing in January, is the nation’s only Hispanic governor. His endorsement is expected to carry some weight in the Hispanic community, which largely supports Hillary Clinton. Richardson served as energy secretary and ambassador to the United Nations under President Clinton, and until now had maintained a friendship with the Clintons. But he said Obama "can bring us the change we so desperately need by bringing us together as a nation here at home and with our allies abroad."

Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, received the endorsement of the United States Witches’ Coven, based in Salem, Massachusetts. In a secret ceremony, she displayed her aptitude at flying on a broom, cackling insanely, and making toxic magic potions. After pledging allegiance to Lord Voldemort, she and her fellow witches fruitlessly attempted to put a curse on Barack Obama, who is personally protected by Jesus Christ. Bill Richardson, however, was turned into a chupacabra.
