Schwarzenegger Admits to Affair
May 17, 2011 (Los Angeles) -
Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted to fathering a child with a household staffer outside his marriage with Maria Shriver about 10 years ago. The revelation, published first by the Los Angeles Times, came about a week after Schwarzenegger and his wife of 25 years announced that they were "amicably separating."
Schwarzenegger announced that he told his wife about the event after leaving the governor’s office. He apologized to his wife, family and friends for the pain and disappoint he caused them.
“I am truly sorry,” he said. “I only wish I had kept my mighty sperm to myself."
A close friend of Shriver’s who wished to remain anonymous told the press that she suspected something might be amiss when the housekeeper would bring the young child to the Schwarzenegger mansion for a visit.
“I thought it was strange that a three-year old boy would already have 14-inch biceps and be able lift a huge sofa over his head so easily," she said. "Plus every time he would leave the room he would turn and say, ‘Ah’ll be bock.’ I wanted to say something to Maria, but I kept my mouth shut.”
Schwarzenegger reportedly has provided financial support to the mother since the child’s birth, and is now providing the 14-year-old boy with an endless supply of Mr. Universe steroid shots.
